Kuwaiti owner of company held for forging, selling work permits Hamed Khajah caught in Dubai, to be extradited to Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1: Personnel from the General Immigration Department have arrested a Kuwaiti owner of a contracting company for forging documents and selling 30 visas and referred him to the Public Prosecution.
According to reports the Director-General of the General Immigration Department Major General Abdullah Al-Rashed received information that the suspect owns a company and although he is entitled to hire six employees there were 36 people under his sponsorship.
A team was formed to investigate the matter, the man was summoned for interrogation and he admitted to forging documents.
He also said he sold each visa for between KD 800 and KD 1,000.
All those who have bought the visas from the man will be summoned for interrogation.
The Immigration Department said all companies which are involved in visa trade will be closed.

Trio held at ‘pot’ venue: Two Kuwaitis and a Lebanese were arrested for consuming drugs in Qurtoba Wednesday.
After receiving information that a house in Qurtoba is being used as a venue for the ‘pot’ session of some drug addicts, a team of officers raided the house, resulting in the arrest of a Kuwaiti, his brother and a Lebanese executive director of a telecommunications company. 
Police also confiscated an undisclosed quantity of heroin and drug paraphernalia during the raid.  The suspects were referred to the relevant security department for prosecution.

Hamed Khajah arrested: Fugitive Hamed Khajah, who is wanted by Kuwait to serve a 12-year imprisonment for issuing dud cheques to scores of businessmen is said to have been arrested by the Dubai police upon request from the Kuwaiti authorities, reports Al-Jaridah daily quoting reliable sources from the Public Prosecution.
Khajah, who has a travel ban on him, had allegedly slipped out of the country illegally with the help of unidentified people.
The daily added preparations are underway to extradite the criminal to Kuwait.

Thai couple in bootlegging: Acting on a tip-off and armed with a search and arrest warrant the Ahmadi police recently raided a house in the area and arrested a Thai couple for bootlegging, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Police are said to have confiscated from the house 40 barrels of brew and 70 cartons filled with mineral water bottles ready for sale in addition to 200 CDs containing porno material.
The suspects have been handed over to the concerned authorities.

KD 4m dud cheques issued: The Jahra police have arrested a Kuwaiti man who is wanted by law for issuing dud cheques worth KD 4 million, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. He has been referred to the authorities.

Secretary foils sex attack: Police have arrested an Arab man working for an unidentified company for attempting to molest the manager’s secretary, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to police the man was high on alcohol and began flirting with the secretary and when the latter asked him to go to his office, he became boisterous and attempted to touch her. The secretary screamed for help and co-workers rushed to her help and called police. The man is detained at the Salhiya Police Station.

Accountant, cash missing: The owner of an unidentified company has filed a complaint with the Police Station accusing an Arab accountant of betrayal of trust and stealing company money, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added the owner discovered the suspect remained absent from work for several days and when he checked the company accounts he found KD 5,000 missing.
However, according to police the man has left the country but attempts are underway to bring him back to Kuwait with the help of Interpol.
