KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: “Amazing show”,  “Awesome” ,  “Alf Mabrook’’ commented some of the guests present at ‘This is It” — a musical evening with Goa’s famed band Alcatrazz.
“Beautiful Show,” said John D’Sa from Qatar. “Give us more’’ the guests at the venue roared. These and many remarks were belted out by the guests who attended the event titled “This Is It” at the Al-Andalus hall at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kuwait on 16th November 2010 presented by organizers AVC-Kuwait in collaboration with the famed event coordinators Dreams Entertainment.

The event kicked off at 9.30 pm with maverick emcee Floyd stirring the crowd with his powerful voice and frame. Alcatrazz sparked the proceedings taking off in style. The crescendo was maintained by the Sri Lankan band Nirmana providing a short but electrifying fusion and Alcatrazz took over playing nonstop music to the guests who did not want to leave the dance floor even for a minute.
The hall was packed to its walls with guests trickling in as late as 11.30 pm. The organizers had to make elaborate arrangements for guests to be at ease and the entrance wrist-tags, a first of its kind in a major event in Kuwait ensured discipline and man management.

Kuwaiti guests were enthralled by this outstanding performance and were seen enjoying the event along with the guests from other countries.

The event brought many nationalities together in unison. The classy crowd enjoyed each and every moment of the proceedings and  organizers had the privilege to host some of the guests who had come to Kuwait to attend the 5th Global Goans Convention 2010 including Bruno Gomes from Switzerland, and John D’Sa and Simon D’Silva from Qatar.

There were prizes and surprises galore ranging from air tickets to electronics to household items to classy restaurant vouchers, etc, during the entire duration of the show.

Mouth watering snacks and sumptuous buffet provided by Crowne Plaza Hotel enriched the event further. The organizers had to bring down the curtains on this mega event at 5.30 am almost after 8 hours of absolute entertainment thus fulfilling the promise of ‘one wild night’ made to the guests.

A colorful souvenir was released to mark the event.
