Kuwaiti offers his Moroccan wife to forego loans
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: A Kuwaiti man filed a missing person’s report on his Moroccan wife at Maidan Hawalli Police Station, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Police managed to identify the wife’s hideout and summoned her for interrogation. The woman’s story, however, shocked police. She said her husband offered her to another man to have sex in exchange for dropping his loans. Hence, the woman said, she ran away and insisted that she would not return.
Trio held dancing drunk: Police arrested two youths and a girl for consuming and possessing alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
The threesome were having drinks and enjoying at an apartment in Salmiya and ventured out in their car when one of them needed to withdraw money from a bank.
Police patrols on routine duty saw the girl dancing with one of the youths on a road and referred all three of them to authorities.
Police also seized a bottle of alcohol from the car.
2 held in bag-snatching: Police arrested two Kuwaiti youngsters for stealing handbags from Asian women near malls in Salmiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Police, on receiving many complaints about the motorbike-riding thieves, laid a trap and arrested them while attempting to snatch a handbag from a woman and referred them to authorities.
Power cables stolen: Police are looking for thieves who allegedly cut and stole 8,650 meters of electric cables from 26 light poles in the northern part of the country, reports Al-Anba daily. An official from the Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) lodged a complaint at Jahra Police Station.
Cash, credit cards stolen: Police are looking for a thief who stole a Kuwaiti man’s wallet containing KD 600 and credit cards from his car parked in a parking lot in Salmiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the vehicle to identify the culprit.
