KAMCO sows seeds of confidence in Kuwait Stock Exchange Company develops virtual program to hone online trading skills KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: KAMCO (KIPCO Asset Management Company) has uploaded a virtual trading program onto its website which allows users to practice and hone their online trading skills. The program, KAMCO Stock Simulator (KSS), was initially developed by the IT Department at KAMCO for students at Kuwait University, and is now available to all website visitors. Using KSS, users create their unique profiles, and are automatically set up with KD 50,000 in virtual money which they then use to buy and sell virtual stocks on the Kuwait Stock Exchange in exactly the same way as one would in real life.
On this occasion, KAMCO’s Acting Head of Sales and Marketing, Ms Rola Al Mohtaseb said, “It is often a daunting task to invest one’s hard-earned money on the stock exchange, especially during turbulent times, and we at KAMCO are aware of this dilemma. It is for precisely this reason that we have developed this program — we want to revive consumer confidence within a very realistic setting.”
Our corporate social responsibility agenda has just been broadened with this new step, as it will provide an opportunity for people from all sectors to practice trading on the Kuwait Stock Exchange before, hopefully, investing and trading in reality.
