Wives thrash husbands in reversal of roles
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 22: An Egyptian man has filed a complaint with the Fintas Police Station accusing his wife of beating him in front of a confectionery shop in Mahboula, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The husband has submitted a medical showing bruises on various parts of his body.
The man’s mother has filed another complaint with the police accusing her daughter-in-law of verbally abusing her.
In a similar case, a man, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly locked himself inside a bathroom and sought protection from the Rumaithiya police when his wife attacked him, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports police could hear the wife shouting and the thumping on the bathroom door because the wife was allegedly hitting the door with her shoes.
The daily without going into details said police did not interfere in the family matter.
Asian found dead: The remains of a 57-year-old Asian who was found dead beside a mosque in Hawalli have been referred to Forensics to identify the cause of death, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The daily said no foul play is suspected. He may have died of natural causes.
Daring car thief: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing the Jeep of a Kuwaiti man, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
He told police he pulled over near a grocery in Salmiya, left the engine running and went to buy some items. When he returned he did not find his vehicle.
He also told police one of his cell phones was in the seat of the vehicle and when he sent a message to the thief requesting him to return the vehicle and that he was ready to pay him any amount of money, the latter replied he was busy smoking hashish.
The Kuwaiti sent him another message pleading him to return his car. The thief requested for a finger of hashish and agreed to meet him in Jaber Al-Ali.
The Kuwaiti went to Jaber Al-Ali and waited in his car as agreed but when the thief sensed he was being watched by another person he escaped.
The Kuwaiti chased the thief but failed to catch up with him. The police also chased the man but failed to catch him because he pulled over the vehicle (not the stolen Jeep) on the side of the road and escaped on foot.
Police records show the suspect was driving a stolen car belonging to a Kuwaiti man.
