Complaints over selection of strong ministers surprise MP Adwah slams those behind disintegration of national unity

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 20: MP Khalid Adwah is unhappy with individuals who complained about the prime minister selecting weak personalities for the Cabinet, and wondered why they are still complaining after the prime minister has selected strong ministers, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Adwah affirmed total support for the ministers and heads of the various state institutions and wished they would work tirelessly toward national development.
He is of the view that a strong personality heading the Municipality will help prevent the smuggling of rotten meat into the country, whereas a strong minister in the Ministry of Information will prevent people from exploiting the media to attack certain figures to instigate tension, and a powerful leader in the Ministry of Interior will help clamp down on criminal hideouts, he noted.
With the issue of Iranian prisoners, Al-Adwah said the suspects shouldn’t have been set free.
He went ahead to denounce the political interference in that regard, and called for politicians to stay away from the case, in order to resolve it.
He believes the national unity is imperative and no room should be made for tribal, religious, and ethnic differences because Kuwaitis are one people.
He condemned those behind disintegration of the national unity, saying “They trade in prefabricated crisis to serve personal interests”.
