Pilgrims cheated; Public cautioned Police patrols on 24 hr alert

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15: The Kuwaiti Pilgrimage Mission recently issued a citation against Abdullatif Al-Shaiji Caravan for allegedly billeting pilgrims in an under construction building without electricity and water, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed the pilgrims paid a huge amount for a comfortable accommodation but they were housed in a yet-to-be completed building, which has no electricity and water. Sources confirmed the mission has instructed the caravan owner to find a better accommodation for the pilgrims, who claimed the owner has not complied with the directive until now.

Public cautioned : The Interior Ministry on Monday said it has allocated a number of stationed and mobile vehicles throughout the country as part of its security plan for Eid Al-Adha holiday.
The round-the-clock plan, effective since last Saturday, also involves covering camping sites and chalets, the ministry’s Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Tareq Hamada said in a press release.
“All security checkpoints are linked to operation rooms to receive emergency calls and immediately deal with them, Hamada noted, urging citizens and expatriates to be vigilant while attending their children at recreational places.
He also advised them not to leave valuable belongings in their vehicles unattended.

Vital cables stolen: Unidentified persons are said to have stolen cables from pump connected to 37 wells which help produce 15 million gallons of water in Al-Shaqaya, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting knowledgeable sources.
A report in this regard has been submitted to the Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Electricity and Water.
Without going into details the daily said police are looking for the suspects.

Police hunt ‘gunmen’: Acting on information police rushed to a suburb of Sa’ad Al-Abdullah and began looking for persons who were reportedly shooting in the area, reports Al-Rai daily. However, they failed to find anyone.
