If the sponsor does not give me a release is there any way to transfer? I was working in a salon for over 4 years, on visa 20 (domestics) before he transferred my residence to visa 18 (work permit) over 2 years ago. What can I do?

Answer: It all depends on whether you did a local transfer or got a new visa, went out of the country and returned on the new document.

If you did a local transfer then you should have no problem and if your sponsor doesn’t give you a release you can always go to the Labor Office in your area which will allow you to transfer. But if you got a new visa, then you will have to complete three years with him to get the transfer.
