The Complex in which some of the shops have been closed
Decision issued to lift ban
Board Chairman and Director-General of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) Jassem Al-Bader, has issued a decision to lift the ban on the import of animals (ruminant family) from Kazakhstan, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
However, the decision includes a clause which makes it mandatory for importers to subject the consignments to health procedures set up by the Animals Health Department in line with rules and regulations imposed by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE).
In line with law of commercial fraud, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Friday closed the butcheries dealing with the company accused of importing spoilt meat. The decision includes several shops and commercial complexes across the country.
