Passport validity for New Visa

“I applied for my wife’s visa by submitting all the attested documents and got the visa. I sent it to my wife but when she went for the medical procedure in my home country (as per the law), they refused to do it saying that her passport’s validity is less than six months and added she needed to get a new passport and a new visa in this situation if I get a fresh passport and attach it with the old passport (as visa has been issued for the old passport) will the Kuwait embassy in Pakistan accept it and on arrival here in Kuwait will there be any objections?

The visa issue date was Oct 24, 2010 and passport expiry date is April 2011. Do I need to inform the Immigration office in Kuwait that I have made a new passport in lieu of old one”.

Answer: There is no solution to the issue except for your wife to get a new passport and then you have to apply for a new visa, now that the Kuwait Embassy has rejected your wife’s efforts to have the visa endorsed.

only new visaSrivi | 11/11/2010 10:20:17 AM you cannot use old visa, once passport is changed. As per rule, 6 months validity is a must. you cannot attach any old passport, as per your convenience. airport arrival, medical test, checking, passport number and visa number should match. otherwise, problem in all places. new passport number should be endorsed in new visa, from ministry of interiors, jawazat. you cannot attach old passport, without knowledge of jawazat. medical not accepted. kuwait embassy not acceptable, airport not acceptable, medical in kuwait, not acceptable. better bring visa again to kuwait, cancel old visa, apply for new visa.

noneFrank D' Cruz | 11/11/2010 9:55:07 AM The kuwait embassy has not rejected the wife's effort to have the visa endorsed it is the medical clinic that refused to carryout the tests. i think if a new passport is applied for it should be enough as the old passport no should also be mentioned on the old passport

Validity Moughal | 11/11/2010 9:22:44 AM The kuwait embassy has not rejected any thing yet , but people at Gamca (Medical center) say u need 2 get a new passport . So if i get new passport and attach it with old passport as a reference will there be any objections?
