Complain directly to court to return the Passport

I need to know if it is possible to lodge a complaint directly with the court for my passport without going to the Shoun.

Name withheld

Answer:
Yes, it is. Infact that’s where most of such cases land as the Shoun (Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor) can’t order a firm to return a passport to an employee. But once the case lands in court, you can rest assured that the court will order the firm to return your passport as it is a personal document.

shounSrivi | 11/10/2010 9:33:10 AM If you already filed any case in shoun, for release or settlement, then during case hearing, inform officer to collect passport from company. Just for passport, no need to file case in shoun. directly file case in court.
yes, allowedSrivi | 11/10/2010 9:29:48 AM Yes, you can directly file case in court. No need of shoun. Just go to Maliya or riggae court, file case for 18 kd expenses. within 10 days, first court hearing, within 25 days, if company not responding, judge will give order to company. court messenger will come with you to your company, to collect passport, as he is authorised to collect by court. If company lied, then apply for new passport in embassy, using missing passport, in police station and court papers. embassy will issue new passport, within 3 days.
