KUWAIT CITY, Nov 8: Kuwait Human Rights Society (KHRS) has called on authorities to grant citizenship to all deserving Bedouns in accordance with recommendations made by the Higher Council for Planning, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
KHRS stressed on the importance of approving the recommendations and taking all necessary legal procedures to implement them “in order to finalize this file which tarnished the image of the country at the international level.”
The society also urged authorities to give opportunity to people of this category and appoint them in various sectors of the country instead of bringing additional expatriate workers.
KHRS also suggested that an authority be established to look into the affairs of this group.
