Woman not guilty in death of kids 2 hurt in Salmiya fight

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: The Criminal Court upheld the verdict of a First Instance Court acquitting a female citizen accused of killing two children. The defendant is said to have hit the children with her car while they were crossing the Airport Road from school.
The defendant’s attorney Bassam Assousi said his client is not guilty of the crime, even though she is sad over the incident. He argued the children had not taken the right path to cross the road, considering there was a pedestrian bridge nearby. He argued his client wasn’t driving fast, but the children appeared on the road suddenly and she couldn’t avoid hitting them.
