Three Indians were reportedly arrested late Friday evening for using fire crackers in a residential compound in Salmiya during the Diwali Festival celebrations.
Diwali or the Festival of Lights is the most important event of the year for Hindus.  Families usually celebrate the occasion by engaging in various traditional activities in their homes.
Eyewitnesses said between 12 to 15 patrol cars surrounded the area, shut the gates of the building and took away three Indians.  The sale and use of firecrackers is illegal in Kuwait.
