Jahra eatery serving meat of dead animals to visitors

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: Food inspectors and a veterinarian working for the Food Control Department at the Jahra Municipality rushed to a well-known restaurant when an unidentified Kuwaiti man gave information about the restaurant workers picking a dead camel from a garbage dump and taking it to a restaurant, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Upon inspection the inspectors discovered the truth and also found food which was being served by the restaurant unfit for human consumption.
Without going into details the daily said legal action has been taken against the owner of the restaurant.

Pakistanis held: The Kuwait International Airport police have arrested two Pakistanis for fighting inside the departure hall, reports Al-Shahed daily.
It has been reported the men were waiting to take a flight to Lahore and they started fighting over the theft of a laptop computer.
The Pakistanis have been referred to the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station.


Iranian robbed:  Police are looking for an unidentified person for impersonating police and breaking into a grocery shop owned by a 55-year-old Iranian man, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The suspect is said to have stolen the man’s passport, civil ID and KD 91 in cash.
It has been reported the impersonator forced the Iranian to get into his car, drove him to a desert, beat him and escaped with the loot.

Absconder nabbed:
Police have arrested unidentified an unidentified person who was wanted by police in several assault cases, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the suspect was driving along a road in Mina Abdullah and when police requested him to pull over, he tried in vain to escape. Police chased him and forced him to surrender. He has been referred to the authorities.

Phones, cards seized: The Central Prison administration during a surprise campaign is said to have seized 25 cell phones and a large quantity of prepaid cards from some inmates and referred them to the concerned authority, reports Al-Rai daily.
The administration has launched an investigation to find out how the forbidden material reached the inmates.
