‘Bandits’ held

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested a gang of men for stealing ATM cards and withdrawing money from their accounts, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The last victim was an engineer working for the Ministry of Public Works and the thieves allegedly stole KD 800 from his account.
Police with the help of CCTV cameras which have been installed all bank branches were able to nab the suspects.
However, the daily did not say how the thieves in the first place managed to steal the credit cards.

Motor stolen: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Mina Abdullah Police Station accusing unidentified persons of stealing 7.5 megawatt motor, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The man has pointed a finger of accusation at his domestic workers. They will be summoned for interrogation.

Liquor traders caught: The Mubarak Al-Kabir police have arrested two Kuwaitis for trading in liquor, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports the men were caught red-handed in possession of 78 bottles of imported liquor.
The daily added police acting on information raided a basement of a house at an undisclosed location and took the men into custody
They have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Man driving drunk: The Ah-madi police have referred an unidentified Kuwaiti man to the General Department for Drug Control for driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the man was arrested while driving along a coast in Abu Halifah.
Police have reportedly seized from the man 28 drug pills and referred him to the authorities.
Meanwhile, police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti man for drinking alcohol and referred him to the authorities, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the man was caught for singing in a suburb of Rumaithiya in an unusual manner.
When an officer walked up to the man he got the smell of alcohol.
