Rob mom, give to wife 22 held for trading in illegal calls
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Taima Police Station accusing her son of stealing KD 130 in cash and an air-conditioning unit, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The mother said her son gave the money and the unit to his wife. A case has been registered against the son.
22 held for trading in illegal calls : Securitymen from the Farwaniya Directorate initiated a campaign recently, in collaboration with engineers from the Ministry of Communications, and arrested 22 Asians for trading in illegal international calls. The culprits have since been referred to the concerned authority.
Cable thief held: Police have arrested a bedoun man for stealing copper cables from government projects, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the man was taken in custody after he was caught red-handed with a wagon loaded with the loot.
During interrogation, the thief who was on his way to sell the loot at the Amghara Scrapyard, admitted to stealing the cables from government projects in Subbiya.
Officer held drunk: Police have arrested a 1st sergeant policeman working for the Criminal Investigation Department for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The drunkard was in the company of a teenage female Arab in Bneid Al-Gar and when police asked him for his ID, he tried in vain to escape on foot.
However, the cops chased and arrested him and referred him and the girl to the authorities. At the time of arrest he was high on alcohol.
Jail absconder caught: Police have arrested an unidentified person who had been sentenced in absentia to four years imprisonment, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspect was caught while attempting to climb over the fence at an unidentified location in a vain attempt to escape from police.
In an attempt he slipped and fell on his back and was subsequently arrested by police.
Police have reportedly seized from the man a piece of hashish and referred him to the concerned authorities.
