Maids in drug trade
Security forces apprehended a former Kuwaiti employee of the Interior Ministry and two Asian women for peddling in heroin. Apparently, the man had been dismissed from duty and was trading in narcotics.
Based on information, the Director General of Anti-drug General Department Major General Ahmad Al-Khalifa directed detectives to trail the suspect, and with warrant from the Public Prosecution, securitymen raided the citizen’s home in Sabah Al-Salem area and found 500 grams of heroin.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to trading in drugs and named his accomplices as the two Asian women working as housemaids in the home of an inmate serving at the Central Prison. The officers went ahead to conduct a search inside the maids’ house and found 250 grams of heroin and a scale. The three suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution.
Ammo found: Personnel from the Vital Establishments Protection Force acting on information rushed to the Al-Rawdatain oilfield and took possession of a machinegun and a box containing ammunition rounds, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports the gun and the ammunition were abandoned in the area by unidentified persons.
The reason is unclear, but the concerned authorities are investigating.
Man caught: The Mubarak Al-Kabir police have arrested a Kuwaiti man who had escaped from the authorities after he was administratively sent to the Psychiatric Hospital for six months for treatment of drug addiction, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Without going into details the daily said the man was arrested at an unidentified location while driving along a road. He has been handed over to the hospital authorities.
