KD200 bribe fails to free Asian prostitute Teacher caught shoplifting
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: Police have arrested an Asian man for attempting to bribe a police officer in an attempt to seek the release of an Asian prostitute, reports Al-Anba daily.
This happened when the Ahmadi police during a crackdown at an unidentified location on vice and residence law violators arrested 15 prostitutes and four pimps.
The suspect alleged requested to meet a police officer and offered him KD 200 to seek the release of one of the prostitutes.
Teacher a thief: A female physics teacher has been referred to the Fahaheel Police Station for shoplifting stuff worth KD 6 from a well-known shopping centre, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspect was picked by the CCTV camera which has been installed at the center. The stuff was hidden in her handbag.
Police records show the teacher was wanted in connection with two charges — for misusing telephone and also for threatening to cause harm.
She was released on bail but a case has been registered against her.
CD seller caught: Police have arrested an unidentified person for selling pirated CDs some of them containing porno material, reports Al-Rai daily.
It has been reported the suspect was taken into custody near the Jahra stables. The daily added the man tried in vain to escape when he saw a police patrol but he was chased and arrested.
Police have seized from the man 1,500 CDs and referred him to the authorities.
