Security beefed up in Ahmadi
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24, (KUNA): The Interior Ministry has beefed up security precautions in the governorate of Al-Ahmadi for it hosts most of the country’s oil installations and new towns and shopping malls, a ministry official said on Sunday.
The security forces tasked with maintaining order in the province have been active on daily basis for enforcing order, security and “confronting negative manifestations and conducts,” said Major General Abdul Fattah Abdul Mohsen Al-Ali, the director general of Al-Ahmadi security authority.
Deployment of patrols in various regions of the province is necessary to assure the residents, for the region hosts most of the oil sites, many modern commercial malls and new residential towns “that need intensive security precautions.”
Elaborating, he indicated that these extraordinary precautions in Al-Ahmadi include the stationing of guards, launching mobile patrols, installing security cameras and sirens.
The security forces in charge of order in Al-Ahmadi have been targeting, in particular, vendors selling expired or stolen goods, he concluded.
