KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23:  A 19-year-old Ethiopian housemaid tried to commit suicide by drinking Clorox, a bleaching substance, inside her sponsor’s house in South Surra.

Rescue officers at the Operations Room received a distress call concerning the incident, so they rushed to the location.  They found the woman lying unconscious in her sponsor’s house.  They referred her to Jahra Hospital and investigations are underway to determine the actual circumstances, which prompted her to try to kill herself.

Fake police rob Asians: Jahra securitymen on Saturday arrested two Bedouns for impersonating police and robbing a number of Asians. After receiving a complaint from one of the victims in South Jahra, Jahra Security Chief Brigadier Mohammad Tana formed a team of securitymen to track down the suspects.  The complainant provided the team with a detailed description of the suspects and their vehicle, easing the search procedures.
The team later arrested the suspects who admitted the crime and told the investigators that they have been impersonating police to rob from Asians.

Illegal arms seized: Capital securitymen arrested two Kuwaitis for the possession of unlicensed firearms in Sulaibikhat Saturday.
After receiving information from the concerned residents in the area about two citizens possessing unlicensed firearms, the securitymen rushed to the location.  The suspects attempted to flee upon sensing police presence, but they were arrested and referred to the relevant security department for prosecution.

Three stuntmen held: Ahmadi securitymen arrested three Kuwaitis and impounded their cars for performing stunts on the road in Dhahar Saturday.
While patrolling the area, police saw the suspects performing car stunts, endangering not only their lives but also that of other road users.  Police arrested them and confiscated their cars.
