Egyptian rapist caught
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: The Farwaniya police have arrested the suspect who was wanted by law for allegedly raping a 12-year-old Egyptian girl, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Earlier it was reported the man was an Egyptian and he had molested the girl more than 17 times.
It was also reported the suspect lived in the same building and the incident came to light when the parents of the victim noticed the victim looked sad and confused and when she refused to answer questions they contacted the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police.
During interrogation the girl narrated the story to the police and the suspect after learning the police were looking for him escaped.
Drug traders caught: The Hawalli police have referred two Arab men for investigation for allegedly trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports Director of the Hawalli Investigation Department AbdulRahman Al-Suhail acting on a tip-off formed a team headed by Lieut Colonel AbdulAziz Al-Mutawa and put the two men under surveillance and caught them red-handed.
They have been handed over to the General Department for Drug Control.
Thieves nabbed: The Mub-arak Al-Kabir police have arrested two unidentified youths for breaking into homes of citizens in Adan, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on complaints from several residents of Adan put the area under surveillance and caught the men red-handed. It has been reported the thieves specialized in stealing identification documents including passports and civil IDs when the people were vacationing abroad.
They have been referred to the concerned authorities. Police interrogations are continuing.
Contractor runs: Police are looking for an unidentified expatriate for breach of trust, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the victim hired the suspect to renovate his house. The man agreed to carry out the work for KD 8,000. However, after receiving part payment the man is said to have disappeared.
All attempts to contact the man have been fruitless because the man has put off his cell phone.
The man’s name has been circulated among all exit points and a travel ban has been issued against him.
