Visa transfer to New employer after 3 months notice

I have been working in Kuwait since 2004. Back in 2008 I had to cancel my visa as it was for a Govt contract and I left the country. I was brought back to Kuwait by my current employer on a commercial visit visa which then was converted into an Article-18 residence permit in November 2008.
After completing two years, I have resigned and am serving my three months notice period.

My question is: Will I face any problems in transferring my residence to the new employer.

Name withheld

Answer:
You should face no problems if your employer gives you a release. You will, however, not be able to transfer your residence if your current employer objects. People arriving in the country on Commercial visit visas before changing these to work permits are to be treated as hired from abroad, and will have to serve a minimum of 3 years before they can leave without a release.

come in new visaSrivi | 10/20/2010 10:45:46 AM if sponsor reject your resignation, not interested to give you local transfer, request them to cancel your current visa. go out and again come in new visa. no other way.
check with companySrivi | 10/20/2010 9:13:59 AM if company accepted your resignation and ready to give release, then shoun has no problem to transfer your visa. if company is not interested, you have to work 3 years, notice period not acceptable. because, you hired from abroad on new visa. past 2004 visa, is not accepted as local hire. if your degree is attested, you can get local transfer, you can file case in shoun, otherwise, not possible, work 3 years is must. it depends upon sponsor to release. you have no rights to ask, in 3 years.
