Indian expat kills himself by hanging in Jleeb area Teen leaves home in fight with dad

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: A 40-year-old Indian expatriate, hailing from South India, committed suicide by hanging himself from the staircase of his building in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area on Sunday.
Acting on information, securitymen, paramedics and Criminal Evidence Department officials rushed to the scene and referred the man’s remains to Forensics.
The deceased was married and the wife and child are in Kuwait. Police are probing the incident to know what caused the victim to take such a drastic step.

Teen son quits home: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 50s filed a case in Sabahiya police station and reported his 19-year old son left the family house after a minor disagreement, and refused to come back.
The man said he tried searching for his son from friends’ homes in vain, while his mobile has been switched off. Police have since circulated his details at checkpoints.

Shop looted: A Syrian in his 40s filed a case in Jleeb Shuyoukh police station against three men who raided an optical shop and made away with an unspecified quantity of items plus KD 400 cash.
Criminal Evidences Men accompanied the man to the scene and lifted fingerprints to trail the thieves. The case was registered.

Forged money seized: An unidentified motorist was arrested by securitymen late at night, with KD 20 forged currency in his possession, at a checkpoint in Salmiya.
The suspect is said to have aroused suspicion of officers as he arrived at the checkpoint, and securitymen found forged currency after conducting a search on him. He was referred to the relevant authority without delay.

Iron thieves held: Two Bedoun men in national attire were apprehended by police officers on night patrol in possession of stolen iron rods in Amghara.
According to sources, the men became confused as the officers approached them for questioning. This prompted the officers to check their details and found stolen items, after searching inside the car.

Hashish found: Customs officers at the Salmi border apprehended a citizen in his mid-20s with two fingers of hashish in his possession.
According to sources, the officers found hashish inside a cigarette packet the suspect had kept hidden in his pocket, while they searched him at the border. He was referred to the concerned authority without delay.

Inmate in fight: A Kuwaiti inmate in his 30s was injured in the head when he engaged two other compatriots in a fight inside the Central Prisons.
Acting on information, officers rushed there to maintain order, and the injured person was taken to the Prisons Hospital for treatment, while the other troublemakers were referred for investigation.

Thai held drunk: Police arrested a Thai expatriate for consuming alcohol in front of a hotel in Bneid Al-Gar Sunday.
When the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry was notified about the drunkard’s activities, securitymen rushed to the scene, arrested the man and referred him to authorities.
