I am working in the government sector. I can handle translation (Arabic-English and vice versa) well. Is it possible to get a license for translation to start a translation centre? Or is it issued only to Kuwaitis?

Answer: You can obtain a license to be an authorized translator but you have to appear in examinations at the Ministry of Justice. You cannot, however, open an office because the commercial law in Kuwait bans foreigners from starting business under their own names. There should be a Kuwaiti sponsor for the office.
