Indian expatriate suffers gunshot wound in drive-by shooting

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: A 37-year-old Indian suffered from a gunshot wound in his right leg after an unidentified person fired at him in an undisclosed location Wednesday.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location immediately after receiving information on the shooting incident. They referred the Indian to Farwaniya Hospital.
Eyewitnesses told police they saw a man sitting next to the driver of a vehicle, which stopped for a while, and to their surprise he suddenly fired at the victim. They tried getting the plate number of the car but they failed because it sped off right after the shot was fired. They provided police with a detailed description of the car, copies of which have been distributed to various security checkpoints and stations to arrest the suspects.

However, when the rescuers and security officers arrived at the location, they realized the Bangladeshi was intoxicated, so they took him to the police station. In an unrelated incident, Farwaniya securitymen arrested an Indian for consuming alcohol.
While patrolling the area, the securitymen noticed the suspicious movement of the Indian, who was running. They stopped him for inspection and they discovered he was under the influence of alcohol, so they referred him to Farwaniya Police Station.
