Kuwait mourns death of prominent journalist Al-Saleh Information minister eulogizes the late local columnist
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7, (Agencies): The whole Kuwaiti nation mourned Thursday the death of Mohammed Musaed Al-Saleh — a prominent journalist who died at the age of 76 after spending several fruitful years in the media. He was buried at Sulaibikhat Cemetery. HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was among those who condoled with the family of the journalist whose death is a big loss not only to the media but also the entire nation. The Arab Times newspaper also expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family and relatives of Al-Saleh.
Meanwhile, Minister of Oil and Minister of Information Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah asserted Thursday the important role played by the late local columnist Mohammad Musaed Al-Saleh in contributing impressively to Kuwait’s local press scene for many years, describing him as one of the journalist pioneers in the country. Sheikh Ahmad said, in an eulogy speech marking the occasion of Al-Saleh’s demise who passed away last night at the age of 76, that he (Al-Saleh) was one of the founders of journalism in the country and had made many contributions to the advancement of the art of journalistic writing in Kuwait.
Sheikh Ahmad also noted that among the most vital roles by the late writer was taking the post of chairman of the Kuwaiti Press Society and joining its membership for many years. “He was one of the most prominent Arab writers who won Dubai Arab Press Award for recognizing his efforts and history in the Arab press,” Sheikh Ahmad added.
