KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: Assistant Director of the Labor Relations Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Hadi Al-Enezi confirmed the automatic link between the ministry and the local banks is a step in the right direction, because it will end the anomalous activities of some sponsors, who forge bank certificates and delay the payment of the workers’ salaries, reports Al-Dostor daily.

Al-Enezi stressed the new private sector labor law states that the salaries of workers must be deposited in the bank accounts of workers before the seventh day of each month, at the latest. He admitted many employees are not aware of the stipulations of the new law, making them vulnerable to the abusive acts of their sponsors.
