Bangladeshi caught entering Kuwait on forged passport Police nab Iraqi ‘sorcerer’

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: Immigration officers at the Kuwait International Airport recently foiled an attempt by a Bangladeshi man to enter the country on a forged passport, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
During interrogations it was discovered the Bangladeshi was deported from the country because of his criminal activities.

Housmaid suicide bid fails: An Asian housemaid, 28, tried in vain to commit suicide by consuming a large quantity of Clorox, a cleaning liquid. She was referred to Adan Hospital.
According to sources, the maid’s employer found her unconscious at their house in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area and immediately referred her to the nearest clinic. The sponsor then called the Operations Room and an ambulance was dispatched to take the woman to Adan Hospital.
A case of attempted suicide was registered against the maid.

Kuwaiti files complaint: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Sharq Police Station accusing an Egyptian man of betrayal of trust, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The man said the Egyptian convinced him to join in a profitable business and when the latter invested KD 45,000, the Egyptian left the country with the money.
The case has been handed over to the Kuwaiti Interpol.

Police nab Iraqi ‘sorcerer’: Police have arrested an Iraqi man for practicing black magic, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
This happened when the Iraqi was stopped by a police patrol while walking along a road.
When the officer checked the man’s name on police computer, he did not find anything against the man. However, as he was talking to the Iraqi, something fell from his pocket which turned out to be a magic charm.
During interrogation he admitted he sells magic charms which brings luck and happiness to the wearer. He has been handed over to the authorities.

Residence violators arrested:
Policemen from the Capital governorate have arrested a number of Asian women for violating residence law, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source the women were on their way to work. They were traveling in a bus belonging to the Ministry of Education and when police checked their IDs, they were shocked to find all were domestic workers.
Most of them had been reported absconding by their sponsors.
The women have been referred to the authorities.

KD 650 withdrawn from account: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing an unidentified person of withdrawing KD 650 from his bank account, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The complainant said he discovered the theft when he received an SMS informing him that the money had been withdrawn from his account.

Wanted bedoun arrested:
Police have arrested a bedoun youth who was wanted by law in connection with various crimes, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The bedoun was driving along a street in Sulaibiya at a late evening hour and looked confused when he saw a police vehicle.
He allegedly tried in vain to change route and escape, but police pursued him and forced him to pull over.
On checking his ID police found he was wanted by law in connection with criminal felons. He has been referred to the authorities.
