Imam beats Bangladeshi worker with iron rod

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4: A Bangladeshi cleaning company worker at a mosque in Jahra has been admitted to the area hospital Tuesday. He was reportedly beaten with an iron rod by the young Kuwaiti imam of the mosque, reports Al-Anba daily quoting medical sources. The same sources said the leg of the victim has been badly fractured.
This happened when the imam accused the Bangladeshi of stealing a TV set from the mosque. He was arrested by police and released after interrogation and this angered the imam so he took the law in his hands and punished the Bangladeshi.
The daily gave no other details.

5 assault Pakistani barber:  Police are looking for five persons for assaulting a Pakistani barber, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In the meantime, the barber whose identity has not been disclosed has been admitted to the Adan Hospital.
A complaint has been filed at the Salhiya Police Station. He has reportedly submitted a medical report to substantiate his claim.

Bangladeshi’s KD 600 stolen: Police are looking for two people for assaulting a Bangladeshi man and stealing his money, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In his complaint to the Fahaheel police the Bangladeshi said he was walking along a road in the area and the men riding in a car got down from the vehicle, beat him for no reason and stole his wallet containing KD 600.
The Bangladeshi has also submitted a medical report which shows fracture to the nose and bruises on his body in addition to various injuries.

2 held for assault on Al-Sabr: Brigadier Muhammad Al-Sabr, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Interior was recently quoted as saying police have arrested two of the four people, who attempted to assault him inside a commercial complex in Hawalli, reports Al-Anba daily.
Al-Sabr added those who have been arrested and those at large are criminals. They are wanted by law in connection with several crimes.
The daily did not give more details.
