Arab Mom trains kids in shoplifting
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: Police have arrested an Arab woman for shoplifting, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources the woman took her children with her whenever she went to buy stuff particularly from grocery shops. She had allegedly trained her children how to pick up things and she engaged the shopkeeper in sweet talk.
The woman has been referred to the Farwaniya Police Station before she is sent to the Public Prosecution.
‘Dead man murdered’: A 45-year-old Kuwaiti man was found dead in his car in block 6 of Dhaher area late Saturday.
The Operations Room had received information that a man was lying unconscious inside his car. Paramedics promptly rushed to the scene and realized that the man was dead. Later Criminal Evidence Department officials were called to examine the body.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the man was killed, say sources, adding police are conducting investigations.
Jihadist explosives expert: The 35-year-old Kuwaiti Abdullah Al-Enzi a.k.a. Abu Ataa who was killed in Afghanistan during an air raid by the coalition forces was an explosives expert, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Al-Enzi was known in Kuwait as ‘Abu Hamdan’. He left Kuwait three years ago with a group of young Kuwaiti to join the Taleban forces to fight a holy war against the coalition troops.
It has been reported Al-Enezi’s father also died in Afghanistan five years ago while fighting alongside the al-Qaeda and Taleban forces.
KD 2,000, call cards stolen: Police are looking for unidentified persons who allegedly broke into a cooperative society and escaped with KD 2,000 in cash and prepaid telephone cards worth KD 10,000, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Maid attempts suicide: Acting on information police rushed to the home of a Kuwaiti man in Abdullah Al-Mubarak and ‘controlled’ an unidentified Asian maid who attempted to end her life by hanging herself with a rope whose one end was tied to a window frame, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources police convinced the maid to give up the idea and took her to the police station for interrogation.
The maid has reportedly told police that she was fed up of her life because the family she is working for has not paid her salary for several months.
Police are investigating.
Drug addict motorist held: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for driving under the influence of drugs, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The man was stopped for driving recklessly along the Fahaheel Expressway and police are said to have seized from him a piece of hashish and two cigarettes filled with hashish.
In other news police have also caught a Kuwaiti man for reckless driving. He was arrested on the King Fahd Expressway.
Police are said to have seized from the man three cigarettes filled with hashish.
Yet another man was arrested in Mangaf also for driving under the influence of drugs.
Police are said to have seized from him a quantity of heroin and drug consuming tools.
