2 accused of molesting boy Police recover one kilo of hashish from car of wanted man

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: The Ahmadi police have arrested a 38-year-old man for possessing one kilo of hashish which was found hidden under his car seat, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The man was taken into custody in a suburb of Jaber Al-Ali because he was driving under the influence of drugs.
Police records also show the man was wanted by law in two cases — for trafficking in drugs and locally manufactured booze.
He has been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.

2 accused of molesting boy: A Kuwaiti filed a complaint Tuesday at Ardiya Police Station against two compatriots he accused of molesting his 15-year-old son.
The complainant told police the suspects, who reside in Firdous, know his son and they convinced him to go with them. When he agreed, they took him to a deserted place where they allegedly molested him.
The victim provided police with a detailed description of the suspects and they will be summoned for investigation.

‘Wanted’ given 4-yrs jail term: A 38-year-old Kuwaiti citizen wanted for various financial and criminal offenses has been sentenced to four years imprisonment, after securitymen on patrol apprehended him at a checkpoint.
According to sources, the man aroused suspicion of the officers as he approached the checkpoint, so they ordered him to stop for checking, in the course of which the officers discovered the crime.

KD 1,500 stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified thief who allegedly broke into the car of a Kuwaiti man, and stole KD 1,500, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint to the police the man said he withdrew the money from his bank account and forgot to take the envelope containing the money from his car.
The next day when he went to his car he found the side glass broken and the envelope containing the money missing.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.

Police arrest youths: The Qairawan police during a surprise inspection campaign Thursday have arrested scores of youths for reckless driving and eve-teasing — some of them driving without license — and posing risk to the lives of other motorists and pedestrians, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the campaign which took place near one of boys’ secondary schools, upon complaints filed by residents of the area, has resulted in the arrest of a number of youths.
All those arrested have been referred to the area police station and their cars have been impounded and licenses revoked.
