Police hunt Iranian man for duping citizen of KD 40,000

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: Po-lice are looking for an unidentified Iranian for ‘stealing’ KD 40,000 from a citizen, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to the complainant the suspect lured the victim into doing joint business and promised quick returns.
After the Kuwaiti gave his share of the money, the Iranian is said to have disappeared.
Police are looking for the man.

3 injured in fight: Three Kuwaitis, in their 20s and 30s, suffered from multiple injuries after engaging in a public brawl with seven compatriots in Kabad Wednesday. 
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Room received information on the fight. They took the injured to Farwaniya Hospital, while the other members of the feuding parties were referred to the police station for questioning. 
Initial investigations revealed some of the men fired shots during the brawl but the sources did not confirm if the injuries sustained by the three Kuwaitis include gun shot wounds.
A case was registered and investigations are in progress to determine the actual circumstances leading to the scuffle. 

Cell phone stolen: A Kuwaiti on Wednesday filed a complaint at Sulaibikhat Police Station against an unidentified person, who allegedly stole his mobile phone while he was inside his diwaniya.
According to the complainant, he discovered his mobile phone was missing when he went out of his diwaniya. When his frantic search for the phone amounted to nothing, he came to the realization that somebody might have stolen it, so he immediately reported the incident to a nearby police station.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the thief.  

‘Car not returned’: A Kuwaiti car rental office owner filed a complaint Wednesday at Farwaniya Police Station against a compatriot, who allegedly failed to return the car he rented from the office on the agreed date. 
The Kuwaiti told police two weeks have passed since the agreed date for the renter to return the car, but the owner has not heard from him until now. The owner called the suspect to request him to return the car but his mobile phone was off, so he had no option but to lodge a complaint with police.  He provided police with a detailed description of the renter and the vehicle, copies of which have been distributed to various security check points and police stations to arrest the suspect immediately.

2 held for alcohol use:
Securitymen arrested two Kuwaitis for consuming alcohol in Salmiya Wednesday. 
While patrolling the area, the securitymen noticed the suspicious behavior of two citizens in a deserted location. When the officers approached the duo for inspection, they noticed that the latter were under the influence of alcohol. The Kuwaitis were then referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.

2 cross dressers held: Sec-uritymen arrested two cross dressers in Salmiya Thursday. 
While patrolling the area, the securitymen stopped a vehicle for inspection. When they checked the identification cards of the two youths, who were inside the vehicle, they were surprised to find they were actually boys clad in women’s clothes. Police referred the youths to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
