Maid’s screams send her would-be-kidnappers fleeing Pakistani Duo held for trading in drugs
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: Anti-narcotics personnel successfully apprehended a Pakistani national in possession of a quarter kilo of heroin, based on a tip-off the Director General of Anti-drug General Department Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa received about their activities.
Security sources said a team of detectives was formed to follow up their activities for four days, and the first suspect was arrested at his place of work. He was reportedly using a car, which had been registered in another person’s name. Apparently, the suspect used a mobile sim card for a day or two and discarded it.
Meanwhile, he confessed to the crime after the officers retrieved the illicit drug, which he kept hidden in a water heater inside his three-room apartment. He explained getting the supply from an inmate in the Central Prisons, as the second suspect prepared the items for sale.

According to security sources the suspects kept a watch on the maid and as she stepped out of the house to dump garbage in a bin they tried to bundle the woman in their vehicle.
The maid fought off the youths and screamed for help. The youths panicked and escaped in a car.
The maid noted the car plate number and gave it to her sponsor. A case has been filed at the Jahra Police Station.
Molest bid on 22-yr-old girl: A Bedoun man filed a report at Sulaibiya Police Station, accusing another Bedoun of trying to molest his 22-year-old daughter at a grocery store in the area on Saturday.
The complainant said the suspect works at the bakala and added that his daughter somehow managed to escape from the scene.
Securitymen will summon the suspect for investigation.
19-yr-old daughter missing: An Arab expatriate, who is believed to be in his 50s, filed a missing person’s report on his 19-year-old daughter at Salmiya Police Station on Saturday.
The expatriate said his daughter left the house after having a fight with her sister and mother two days ago and did not return since then. He mentioned that he looked for her at all their relatives and friends’ houses, and that she is not answering calls on her mobile phone.
Securitymen noted down the description of the girl and circulated it to all checkpoints.
Absconding Filipina arrested: Police have arrested a Filipino woman who was reported absconding by her sponsor, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Filipina was caught on suspicion while walking along a road in Hawalli.
She has been referred to the authorities.
