Following several complaints security operatives received from citizens and expatriates about youths gathering along the Restaurants and Belajat Streets on daily basis to perform stunts with their vehicle, while putting people’s life in danger, officers from the Hawalli Traffic Department, in coordination with the Kuwait Public Transport Corporation (KPTC) initiated a campaign and have issued 40 citations against vehicles with tinted glass, vehicles painted without approval of the Traffic Department, plus vehicles with posters and others without licenses. Also, the officers seized 20 vehicles and towed them to the ministry’s garages.
Security sources confirmed the campaign will continue over an indeterminate period within the Hawalli Governorate.
