Computer glitch delays passengers at airport

A large number of passengers were stuck in the arrival and departure areas at Kuwait International Airport Wednesday when the computer units malfunctioned for 90 minutes. After receiving information on the incident, Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Lieutenant General Ahmad Al-Rujaib instructed a team of technicians to restore the system. Through a strong coordination between the airport security officers and their counterparts at the ministry, the computers became functional again after 90 minutes. Sources confirmed the airport security officials prepared a detailed incident report to prevent the recurrence of the problem in the future. Sources said several security officials were at the airport to closely follow up the issue and to ensure smooth flow of procedures in spite of the glitch.
