Three Asians held for stealing int’l call lines, forging bank notes Police seize 32 liquor bottles from 3 KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: The Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police have arrested three Asians for stealing international telephone lines and forging bank notes, reports Al-Rai daily.
However, the daily did not say what denomination bank notes the suspects were forging or how much money has been seized from the suspects.
They have been referred to the concerned authorities for interrogation.
3 bootleggers held: The Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police have arrested three Asians for bootlegging, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the suspects were caught in possession of 32 bottles of locally-manufactured booze at a police checkpoint.
During interrogation the men admitted to manufacturing booze. They have been referred to the authorities.
Remains sent to Forensics: The partly decomposed remains of an unidentified Kuwaiti man which were found behind a well-known commercial complex in the Mubarak Al-Kabir governorate have been referred to Forensics to identify the cause of death, reports Al-Sabah daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police and paramedics acting on information rushed to the spot and found the corpse on the ground lying on the side.
Meanwhile, the remains of an unidentified 49-year-old Filipino woman who allegedly jumped to her death from the fifth floor of a residential building in Fahaheel have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department are investigating the death.
Restaurant fire put out: Acting on information firemen from the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh fire center rushed to an unidentified location and put out fire to a well-known restaurant, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
No casualties have been reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are not known.
Trees set on fire: Firemen rushed to an area between Taima and Al-Naeem after the Operations Room received information on the burning of a line of trees Wednesday.
According to a security source, a group of young men set fire to the line of trees but he did not mention if the authorities took the necessary legal action against the youths. Firefighters doused the fire in record time.
