Some ‘politicians’ act in their own interests to the detriment of nation Ministers given ultimatum on undersecretaries tenure KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: The government is trying to change its policy with reports it receives, based on better understanding it has derived from previous experiences, reports Al-Shahid daily quoting sources.
According to a government official, there’s need to diverge from sources who provide the government with information to help it understand and manage all situations appropriately, sources added.
Meanwhile, the government is said to have received information from certain personalities dominating the political arena, who obviously acted in their own interests, to the detriment of the country.
Also, the government approved a plan to diversify its resources with various groups in the society to ensure credibility of information it collects, and for the benefit of the country’s political indulgence.
Meanwhile, the Council of Ministers has given the ministers an ultimatum to decide on renewing the tenure of undersecretaries and assistant undersecretaries, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoted sources as saying the ministers have until the end of Eid Al-Fitr to make a decision, since the Council of Ministers is keen on renewing the appointments before the beginning of the new parliamentary term, refuting rumor that the Civil Service Commission (CSC) received instructions against renewing appointments that have already lapsed.
Sources explained the ministries are reviewing the issue altogether, and added the Cabinet has suspended meetings until after Eid.
