4 KOC employees held in drug bust Man detained for consuming alcohol

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7: Anti-drug department officials arrested four Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) employees for trading in drugs and recovered one-and-half kilo hashish and various other narcotics from them.
The department, on receiving information about a Kuwaiti who was trafficking in drugs, formed a team to arrest him. The team first verified the authenticity of the information and then arrested him along with his friend. Sources say officers found some fingers of hashish and drugs from the duo who then guided officers to their two other colleagues involved in the trade. Officers raided the house of the other two and seized one-and-half kilo hashish and other drugs from them. The traffickers said the drugs were brought from Iraq by a driver working for a Central Jail inmate. The drugs were originally brought from another Arab country. All four men were referred to authorities.

Drugs found in prison raid: Securitymen at the Central Jail recovered six cell phones, several prepaid cards, 11 narcotic pills and two fingers of hashish from inmates’ possession during a surprise inspection campaign, say sources.
The inmates were referred to investigations to find out how they acquired these items and who was smuggling them inside.

Drunk detained: Securitymen arrested a 29-year-old Kuwaiti for consuming alcohol and recovered from his vehicle a bottle of local brew on Tuesday.
Patrols noticed the suspect’s erratic driving on the Sixth Ring Road and asked him to pull over, following which they discovered that the man was drunk. He was referred to authorities.
