KSE to close from Thursday for Eid holiday

The Kuwait Stock Exchange will be closed starting Sept 9 for the Eid al-Fitr Islamic holiday. Trading will resume on Sept 13 if the first day of Eid is on Thursday, or on Sept 14 if the first day is on Friday, the bourse said in a statement on its website on Monday.

Stock markets in the United Arab Emirates will be closed starting Wednesday, Sept 8 for the Eid al-Fitr Islamic holiday, a spokesman for the domestic bourse regulator said on Monday. Trading on the Dubai Financial Market and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange will resume on Sunday, Sept 12 or on Monday, Sept 13, depending on when Eid finishes, a Securities and Commodities Authority spokesman told Reuters.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. (RTRS)
