Contract

My contract with my employer is 2 years, and will automatically be renewed for another 2 years unless it is terminated. Is my contract an open-ended or a fixed-time contract?

Name withheld
Answer: According to Article 31 of the New Labor Law “If the period of the work contract is specified and both parties continue to implement it after the expiry of the period thereof without formal renewal, the contract shall be deemed renewed for a similar period with the same conditions, unless both parties agree to renew it under other conditions.”
So, unless there is some change in the contract, it will again become a 2-year fixed time contract.

break at any time with 3 months noticeSrivi | 9/7/2010 9:50:27 AM As per latest rule, last week, both employer and employee can break or discontinue the fixed contract, with 3 months notice from both sides. Better consult with employer, for release of any contract. There is a condition in your contract that both parties can terminate with notice on mutual understanding.
