Indian bribes cop to seek release of housemaid KUWAIT CITY, Sept 6: Police have arrested an Indian man for attempting to bribe a policeman at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station. This happened when the man tried to seek the release of an absconding housemaid who had been arrested by police, reports Al-Anba daily. The Indian allegedly offered a KD 120 bribe to the policeman and the latter pretended to accept it and informed his superior. A trap was set for the man and he was caught red-handed. He has been referred to the authorities. Meanwhile, the Jahra police have arrested an unidentified Asian for selling porno CDs, reports Al-Wasat daily.
Police have seized from 20 CDs and referred him to the authorities.
Pakistani assaults Kuwaiti: A 39-year-old Kuwaiti got a fracture in his left hand after engaging in a public brawl with a Pakistani in Umm Al-Haiman.
A team of policemen and medical emergency personnel were dispatched to the location after the Operations Room received information on the fight. When the rescue officers arrived at the scene, they found the Kuwaiti writhing in pain as he got a fracture in his left hand. They referred him to Adan Hospital, while the Pakistani was taken to a police station for interrogation and other necessary legal action.
