Moisturizers for different climates
Moisturizers for different climates
Dry climates: You need to use a moisturizer daily, but steer clear of water-based lotions they can further dry your skin. Try using baby oil or a petroleum-based moisturizer instead and apply it within three minutes of bathing or showering to help your skin retain moisture. Products that contain shea butter, aloe vera or almond oil are also good moisturizers.
Warm climates: If it’s a warm, dry climate use baby oil or a petroleum-based moisturizer to apply after showering or bathing.
Cold climates: Cold climates affect your skin in a similar manner to dry climates. So after bathing or showering, apply an oil or lotion on your skin to help it retain moisture. Apply moisturizer that contains lactic acid, urea, shea butter or aloe vera as needed.
