French citizen found dead in well-known Jahra hotel
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 1: A French national in his 30s was found dead inside a famous hotel in Jahra Wednesday morning.
According to sources, a rescue team was dispatched to the hotel immediately after the Operations Room was notified the man had been found unconscious on the floor, inside his room at the hotel. However, paramedics pronounced the man had already died after examining the body, and then Criminal Evidences Men carried the remains to the Forensics for autopsy. The officers believe the man might have died of natural causes.
3 stabbed in mall fight: Three citizens were stabbed during clashes with seven other minors in front of a commercial complex in Hawalli.
Securitymen and paramedics were prompt to the location following a distress call passersby had placed to the Operations Room to report the incident. Upon arrival, paramedics examined the injured people and they were carried to the Mubarak hospital for treatment.
Sources said the rest of the feuding party fled the scene at the sight of police. However, a case has been registered for investigation.
Asian thief nabbed: Some Kuwaitis caught an Asian man, who allegedly stole KD1,500 cash from a vehicle parked in Qairawan Cooperative Society Wednesday.
According to the Kuwaitis, they were walking at the parking lot when they noticed the suspect opening a vehicle parked in the area. He fled from the scene when he saw them but they chased him and searched him until they found KD1,500 in his possession. When they asked him about the money, the suspect purportedly admitted to stealing the money from one of the vehicles parked near the cooperative society.
The Kuwaitis called police who arrested the Asian. A case was registered and the suspect was referred to the relevant security department for prosecution.
Two beggars arrested: Securitymen arrested two beggars near a mosque in Capital Governorate Wednesday.
As part of the Ministry of Interior’s campaign to curb the spread of the begging phenomenon in the country during Ramadan, the Capital securitymen inspected a number of mosques and other public areas in the governorate Wednesday. Their intensified efforts paid off since they apprehended two beggars in one of the mosques in the area. The beggars were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
