Masked youths beat up Kuwaiti, snatch cash-filled wallet

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 1: A Kuwaiti filed a complaint at Jahra Police Station Tuesday against two youths, who allegedly beat him and took his wallet by force.
The complainant told police he was surprised when a vehicle suddenly stopped near him while he was walking along a road in the governorate.  Two youths, whose faces were covered, got out of the car and threatened him with a knife, ordering him to give them his wallet. When he refused to give in to their demand, they beat him and forcefully took his wallet, which contained KD 1,000, bank cards and personal documents. The youths fled from the scene immediately after the incident. 
The Kuwaiti provided police with a detailed description of the culprits and their vehicle, copies of which have been distributed to various security institutions and checkpoints to ease the search procedures.

Cars impounded: Ahmadi securitymen launched an intensive campaign in Al-Ghous Street, resulting in the confiscation of eight vehicles used for performing stunts on the road and arrest of several motorists without driving licenses. 
As part of its campaign against those who violate the law, the Ahmadi Security Directorate formed a team of officers tasked to carry out surprise inspection along Al-Ghous Street. The team’s efforts paid off, since they arrested several drivers without licenses and confiscated eight vehicles used for performing stunts on the road. 
Security sources disclosed the campaign will continue in different parts of the governorate to ensure strict compliance with the law.

Tents stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who allegedly broke into the home of a Kuwaiti man in Khaitan and escaped with three tents worth KD 600 from the garden, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
