Man held for breaking fast Youths attack police station

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: Hawally securitymen arrested a young man for drinking soda on the road during fasting hours Thursday.
While patrolling the area, the securitymen noticed a young man drinking soda during fasting hours.  They arrested the young man and referred him to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.

Drugs found on military man: The Mubarak Al-Kabir police have arrested a military man working for the Ministry of Defense for possessing fingers of hashish, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the Director of the Mubarak Kabir Investigation Department acting on a tip-off assigned securitymen to monitor the activities of the suspect.
The police then sent a secret agent to buy hashish from the man and caught him red-handed and seized from him 10 fingers of hashish and referred him to the authorities.

Youths attack police station: A group of youths recently attacked the Hawalli General Department for Rescue Patrol and destroyed the façade, reports Al-Dar daily.
This happened when police issued a citation for one Kuwaiti youth for reckless driving in one of the areas of Kuwait. At this point the youth allegedly insulted the cops and this prompted the securitymen to arrest him and impound his vehicle.
The motorist then contacted his friends and they went to the department and pelted stones and other objects at the department and the police and destroyed government property.
Police are looking for the troublemakers.

Youths disturb passers-by: Acting on information a police force rushed to Yarmouk and dispersed a number of youths who were causing disturbances to people going to fast food restaurants and the cooperative society in the area, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources when police reached the spot they found boisterous youths causing inconvenience to families and causing traffic chaos.
According to eyewitness reports police dispersed the youths who were just loitering in the area and issued citations for violators of traffic laws particularly those who had deliberately blocked the entrance and exits to the Yarmouk Cooperative Society and the area of fast food restaurants.

Bag with drugs seized: Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti youth and seized from him a bag containing heroin, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the youth was arrested in a suburb of Al-Qurain while driving in the area.
During interrogation the youth claimed the drug was for his personal use. He has been referred to the Anti Narcotics Department for further action.

Asian found dead: In mysterious circumstances a 28-year-old Asian man was found dead Wednesday in Salmi, reports Al-Qabas daily.
However, the Jahra security authorities have opened an investigation into the incident to know the exact cause of death.
According to a security source when police and paramedics acting on information rushed to the spot they found the man lying on the floor with a piece of cloth around his neck signifying he had strangled himself.
The remains of the man have been referred to Forensics.
