Police hunt Iranian for ‘duping’ citizen to the tune of KD 48,000
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: Police are looking for an unidentified 40-year-old Iranian for duping a Kuwaiti man to the tune of KD 48,000, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to the victim the Iranian lured him to open a business in partnership to import household goods from Iran and promised him good returns. He allegedly told the Kuwaiti he could double his money in just a few months and the latter fell for the trap.
After investing the money, the Kuwaiti realized that he has been cheated because the Iranian keeps beating around the bush. After waiting for several months for the goods to arrive the Kuwaiti finally decided to file a complaint with the police.
Egyptian in public brawl: An Egyptian suffered from serious injuries after engaging in a public brawl with a compatriot in Tahreer Tower Thursday.
Securitymen and medical emergency personnel rushed to the location after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information on the brawl. They referred the injured to Amiri Hospital, while the other Egyptian was taken to a police station for questioning.
Boy injured in fight: A 17-year-old boy sustained injuries in different parts of his body after engaging in a fistfight with another teenager in Taima Thursday.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after receiving information on the fight. Preliminary investigations revealed the two teenagers were playing football when they had a heated argument, which escalated into a fistfight. The injured was referred to a nearby hospital.
