Rules
Each team is composed of 4 players who will in complete 10 games in the elimination round in 6 categories: Men’s A, Men’s B, Men’s C, Ladies A, Men’s Lower Class with Ladies B and Mixed D. The scoring system is based on the cumulative number of matches won and total set points. Once the elimination round is completed, the top four teams in each category will proceed to the semi finals after being ranked 1, 2 3 and 4 respectively and whoever wins in this round will move on to the finals.
Since there are a lot of participants, the FBAA Technical Committee has decided to have a 15 per set point game, in case of tie at 14-14 a slide 2-point advantage wins the set or the game but if both pairs are still tagged on 18-18, the first pair to reach 19 points wins the game. The Mixed D category is not included in the extension and whoever reaches 15 points wins the set or the game.

The tie-breaker rule is based on the total matches won and total cumulative points. If two teams are tied the highest total score based on their games will break the tie and the same will be applied if three teams are tied. A 5-minute default rule is applied while in case of a “no show” by any member of the group, the team is only allowed a 2 minutes grace period to assign the substitute. The team is allowed to upgrade a player only once, if a player fails to attend the match will be immediately forfeited with the score 15-0 and 3-0 set points in favor with group with complete players while the team captain can choose which of the matches they wish to forfeit. Meanwhile, the player is allowed to play in the next game even if he misses his/her earlier games due to tardiness or injuries. FBAA organizers have also assigned heads of Technical Committees in each category for any queries or complaints. In Men’s A Norman and Jong, Men’s B Ryan and Tone, Men’s C Arjay and Allen, Ladies A Ness and Thess, Ladies B Beng and Lei, Mixed C Janette and Eric and Beginners Cathy and Gerry.
