Bus thief flees trap
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Police are looking for a gang of thieves for stealing buses, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to complaints filed by the owners of the buses, the vehicles were parked on an open in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
Some victims told the police they set a trap for the thieves and saw an Asian man attempting to lift a bus with the help of a tow-truck.
They added he escaped from the scene leaving behind the tow-truck when he felt people were watching him.
Police have confiscated the tow-truck and the owner will be summoned for interrogation.
School computers stolen: Police are looking for unidentified burglars who allegedly broke into a Kindergarten school in Al-Qurain and escaped with computers, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Drug peddler caught: Police have arrested an unidentified person for trafficking in hashish, reports Al-Anba daily.
The arrest came following reports that the man who was recently released from jail after serving time for a similar offence had resumed his activities.
The daily added police put the man under surveillance and caught him red-handed while selling 20 kilos of hashish to a police agent.
