Asian maid found dead in Kuwaiti sponsor’s house
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: An Asian housemaid was found dead inside her room at the house of her Kuwaiti sponsor in Abdullah Mubarak.
Security sources revealed the Operations Room received a call from the Kuwaiti sponsor, stating that he found his housemaid lying unconscious in her room. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene but she was already dead. Her remains were referred to Forensics, which declared that the housemaid died a natural death.
Trio blamed in theft: A Kuwaiti lodged a complaint with police Sunday against three unidentified persons, who reportedly stole KD 1,800 cash and some jewelry worth KD 1,000 from his house in Abdullah City.
After receiving the complaint, the officers from the Criminal Evidence Department rushed to the location and lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits. The complainant told the officers he was surprised when he returned home with his family as the door of their house was broken. He checked the contents of the house and discovered that the thieves took cash amounting to KD 1,800, as well as some pieces of jewelry worth KD 1,000.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
Car broken into: A Kuwaiti woman filed a complaint at Farwaniya Police Station against an unidentified person who stole her handbag from her vehicle Sunday.
According to the woman, she found the front window of her vehicle was broken when she went out of a commercial complex in the area. When she checked the contents of her car, she found out the thieves took her handbag, which contained KD 370 cash, bank cards and other important documents.
Criminal Evidence Department personnel lifted fingerprints to identity the culprits. Police have intensified their efforts to arrest the suspects.
Teen arrested: Securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti teenager for performing car stunts and consuming alcohol in Sabah Al-Nasser Sunday. After receiving information on a Kuwaiti teenager performing car stunts on the road, the securitymen rushed to the scene. The teenager tried to escape when he sensed police presence but the officers chased him. Police also discovered the teenager was under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest. He was referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
